Cork’s Better Buildings Awards WINNERS 2023

The stage was set, the excitement palpable, as the winners of the Better Building Awards were unveiled at a glittering ceremony held at The Metropole Hotel.

Focused on the meticulous care and awe-inspiring presentation of the city's cherished built heritage, the Better Building Awards shone a spotlight on the seamless integration and enhancement of new developments within the urban landscape. But what makes these awards truly special is the unique blend of direct nominations and passionate submissions from the public, showcasing a vibrant tapestry of multinational, national, and independent businesses.

58 MacCurtain street took home the key Judges Choice Award. This former vacant building now providing homes in the city center is a valuable case study of best practice in the refurbishment and reuse of vacant, historic buildings in our city.

Kevin Herlihy, President of Cork Business Association said,
